TRAVEL & PACKING

The 2026 ultramarathons take place on Saturday, 29th August: all ultra marathon racers should arrive at the KTR race village by mid-afternoon Friday, 28th August.

The half marathon takes place Sunday, 30th August; participants should arrive to the race village by mid-afternoon Saturday, 29th August.

The nearest airport to the KTR race village is Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Participants should plan to arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport by mid-day the day before their event in order to be transported to the race village in time for packet pickup and race briefings.

We suggest departure flights be scheduled no earlier than Sunday morning if you’re participating in an ultramarathon; no earlier than late Sunday evening if running the half marathon.
